Need a simple way to practice a Bible verse? This whiteboard game gets the whole class involved, one missing word at a time.

If your Sunday school class is learning a new memory verse, you can turn a few minutes of review into a game. All you need is a whiteboard, a marker, and a verse the children have already started learning.
How to play
-
Write the whole verse. Put the class's current memory verse on the board where everyone can see it. Read it together twice.
-
Erase one word. Ask everyone to say the verse again, filling in the missing word from memory.
-
Keep removing words. Each time the class gets through the verse, erase another word and repeat.
-
Try the final round. Once most of the words are gone, see whether the group can say the verse without reading it.
Make it work for your group
With younger children, leave most of the verse visible and remove only a few familiar words. With older children, erase several words at once or let a volunteer choose what disappears next.
This also works well as a quick review at the beginning of the next class. Just start with the same verse and see how much everyone remembers.
