RECIPE: Classic Campfire S’mores

S’mores is one of my all time favorite desserts. They can be made in microwaves and other hot fires or heating appliances. But my all time favorite place to roast marshmallows is in front of a campfire! Campfire s’mores give the marshmallow a soft gooey taste with a little bit of crunch and today I’m going to show you how to make your very own campfire s’more!

Here is what you will need to create your campfire s’more. I attached the links to what we used but anything like these will work!

1 package marshmallows – Make sure to buy regular size and not mini.
1 bar of chocolate – Milk chocolate is commonly used over dark chocolate, however if you can use either.
Graham Crackers – These are our all time favorite brand. We have found that other brands are a little soggy or do not break in half easily.
S’mores roasting sticks – These aren’t the exact sticks we used because we got ours a few years ago but anything like this will work! If you don’t have a roasting stick, you can use an unraveled metal coat hanger.
1 package paper towels – S’mores can get sticky at times so having paper towels is always a good idea! If you have younger children wet wipes may also be useful.

Now, that you have all the needed ingredients, lets get to the fun part: roasting over a campfire!

Here’s 5 easy steps on how to make your very own campfire s’more!
1. Break the graham cracker in half and lay the two halves on a paper towel.
2. Place a piece of chocolate (about 3 rectangles if using Hersheys) on one side of the graham cracker.
3. Roast a marshmallow over the campfire until it is toasted to your preference.
4. Gently slide the marshmallow onto one graham crackers and place the other on top and press down slightly!
5. Enjoy!

I hope that you all enjoy s’mores as much as I do! Thanks for reading!
